Free Indeed

(Psalms 19:13) Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

The world says that freedom is not free, but our God says freedom is free to all those who trust in the Lord Jesus and is a gift from God Almighty. Sin shall not have dominion over the followers of Jesus Christ. Our freedom has been granted to us by Jesus our Savoir, the Son of God. (John 8:36) "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Christ Jesus shed His blood for us to pay the penalty for our sins in our stead and to set us free from the bondage of sin. And as a consequence, freeing us from the judgment and the penalty, death. (Psalms 102:19-20) "For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;"

Jesus our King has been given ALL authority and power in Heaven and in earth. (Luke 4:18-19) "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."

It was Satan that bruised mankind with the first temptation of man, by exploiting Eve's five senses. (Genesis 3:15) "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Our Lord Jesus has "set us at liberty" by bruising satans' head and has set us free from the captivity of satans' power of death, by the gift of the Holy Spirit.

(James 4:7) "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." The Holy Scriptures teaches us to first, submit to God's will by obeying His Holy Commandments. Then we are to be pro-active by resisting. Refuse to comply with all ungodliness, remembering that Satan enticed Eve with her sense of sight and pride of self or ego. Learning from the word of God, temptations can be resisted by turning our eyes and our ears away from all filthiness. And if we are tempted by something in our environment we can either remove that item or remove ourselves.

Let us concentrate on our calling from our Holy Father to be perfect as He is. This will keep us from temptations of the flesh. (Philippians 4:8) "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

And as sons and daughters of the Kingdom, let us keep ourselves busy doing the work of our Father in Heaven. (James 1:27) "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." (1 Corinthians 15:58) "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."

(Psalms 145:10-11) "All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;"

(Philippians 2:12-13) "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."

(Psalms 19:14) "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer." Amen
