Lord, Lord

(Matthew 7:21-23) "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

(Matthew 7:15) "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." There are numerous preachers who predict the end time prophesies of the Holy Bible and who cast out devils from desperate individuals. They even claim these, and other wonderful works, in the name of Jesus, the most powerful name in heaven and on earth. Then there are those who preach that if you ONLY believe in Jesus you'll be saved. Workers of iniquity. Wolves in sheep's clothing.

(James 2:19) "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

The devils believe and tremble, yet will they be saved? Satan knew Jesus was the Son of God when he tempted him. Will satan enter into the Kingdom of God? There must be more to being saved then just believing. So how many of the world's population are saved? Are you saved? Jesus did say his flock is a little flock; (Luke 12:32) "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom."

Jesus said those whom he calls his brothers are those that hear the word of God and DO IT. (Luke 8:21) "And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it."

It is sad that a nation who professes to be 85 % Christian, that only 40 % can name more than four of the Ten Commandments and a scant half can cite any of the four authors of the Gospels. Most, so called Christians, only go to church to hear; the wolves in sheep clothing tickle their ears with, anti-Christian subjects such as, how to boost your ego along with how to get rich. Christ was specific about what he had in mind for his followers. In the days before his crucifixion, Jesus said you could tell the righteous from the damned by whether they'd fed the hungry, gave drink to the thirsty, clothed the naked, cared for the stranger, visited the sick and those in prison.

(Matthew 25:35-36) "For I was an hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." Our Lord Jesus came to serve all and not to be served on. We are told to follow in his footsteps.

To the Church.......(Mark 9:35) "And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all."
