Mine Anger Was Kindled Against The Shepherds

(Zechariah 10:2) "For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd."

The first commandment of God is, (Exodus 20:2-6) "I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (And the second) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."

How many of the Lord Gods children are experimenting with false gods such as horoscopes, statues of Jesus and Mary, money and wealth, strength and power, or even that "good luck" penny. The reason many turn to these false gods is because they lack patience, understanding and most of all, faith.

Like the children of Israel at mount Sinai, being impatient leads to sin. (Exodus 32:1) "And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him."

Oh, but horoscopes are fun, they say. Fun is no reason to disobey our Lord Jesus. Isn't that the same reason a group of people have orgies, or get drunk and start vandalizing? Fun is not a reason for anything. (Proverbs 10:23) "It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom." Many lives have been totally destroyed by horoscopes.

How many "christians" have statues that they kneel before and pray to? Statues are made by man and cannot think or do anything. I've even heard of people running to see an image of Jesus, or was it Mary, in the bread of a sandwich. When's the last time you heard of a sandwich saving someone's life or doing anything at all other than filling someones stomach?

(Acts 17:29-31) "Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."

Many wealthy and powerful Americans do not turn to our Lord Jesus or are enticed away because they have been given a sense of false hope through a society and religious community that praises wealth, money, strength and power. There are even many, covetous, so called "christian", preachers that promote such perversions of the truth. (Ephesians 5:5) "For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God." The blessings that our Holy Father gives are spiritual, for He is spirit.

Who do you think is orchestrating every movement and thought of the users of these false gods? It's satan himself. And he knows how to keep them believing. Just when they start doubting whether these devices work, he'll throw some partial truth into the mix, to keep them hooked. Just as satan quoted part of scripture to our Lord Jesus, he will try the same on all of Jesus followers.

And satan said, (Luke 4:10-11) "For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." But the actual Scripture is, (Psalms 91:11-12) "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone." Satan left out the most important part of the verse, "to keep thee in all thy ways", to try to trick our Lord Jesus.

Satan uses these false god devices to draw, as many, people away from our Heavenly Father and His only begotten Son, Jesus, as he can. That is satans' purpose. (Zechariah 10:2) ": therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd."

Just as satan did in the garden of eden with Eve, he continues to do today. (Ecclesiastes 1:9) "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun."

Relying on horoscopes, statues of Jesus and Mary, money and wealth, strength and power, or even that "good luck" penny is all idol worshipping. (Acts 17:30) "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" (1 John 5:21) "Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."
